Mais um trechinho para atiçar a curiosidade:
…Much has been made of the opening sequence of the new movie trailer. A young kid jumps out of a moving car as it zooms off the edge of a cliff. The reveal is that the kid is the future Captain of the USS Enterprise, James T Kirk. The sequence is constructed to get a specific reaction: “This doesn’t look like any Star Trek movie I’ve ever seen before.” But I think many people are missing the possible metaphor. Kirk could have been driving a car from any decade in history — the 2000’s, the 1990’s, the 1980’s, or the 1970’s, but for one reason or another, Abrams chose a 1960s Corvette.
Could it be that the corvette represents something more than just a fast car? Is it just a coincidence that the car was released during the same decade that the original Star Trek television series premiered? I believe that by throwing the 1960’s era car off a cliff, Abrams was making a statement – “this is NOT your father’s Star Trek movie – we’re throwing all that stuff AWAY, OFF a cliff no less. This is the NEW Star Trek.” …
Putz já disse tudo, apesar de ser escrito por um crítico claramente frustrado, imaturo e imbecil… ops. Posso dizer isso aqui? Whatever.
Se alguém ficou com preguiça de ler tudo, o cara começa “explicando” a Cena inicial do filme:
Abrams DELIBERADAMENTE jogou o Canon – neste caso representado por um carro da época em que TOS estava na TV – num precipício.
Elogios sobre a ação, ângulos de filmagem, humor – típico humor NOT ANOTHER SOMETHING MOVIE.
Críticas ao McCoy – por estar exatamente imitando DeForrest Keley.
Elogios ao sotaque russo de Chekov e (respect.) escocês de Scott – americano é um povo besta que nem australiano, acha que falar com sotaque é atuar.
“Este filme não vai agradar os Trekkers, mas vai ser acessível a todo o resto e eu acho que eles vão gostar. É provavelmente o melhor filme de Star trek de todos os tempos porque mistura ‘SOMBRAS’ dos melhores momentos de Retorno de Jedi com a nova Geração de Battlestar Galáctica. ”
Vai pro inferno!
Ridículo essa relação com Star Trek e esse lixo de Smallville que conseguiu acaber de vez com o Superman. Eu espero daqui pra frente ter relações mais sérias sem banalização de Star Trek como novelinha para teens americanos.

Post 55, mas se o lado humano dos personagens de ST fosse retrado como BSG/2003, seria maravilhoso, claro que aí não sei se não teria outra quebra de canon.
