Quanto a personagem Valeris, citado em outro comentário, estou começando a leitura do livro A TERRA DESCONHECIDA (J. M. Dilard) em que se fala que Valeris é totalmente vulcana, porém não criada em Vulcano. Ela entrou com pedido de cidadania em ShiKar, conheceu Spock e foi para a Academia da Frota em que Spock foi seu tutor. Foi criada em um planeta com fronteira para o território Klingon sendo que sua mãe foi morta ao tentar com contato com eles e seu pai acabou aos poucos “enlouquecendo”. Isso fez com que ela não crescesse dentro das tradições vulcanas e tivesse que aprender-las depois.
